Refunds and exchange policies
We understand that graduation is a significant occasion in every student’s life and that appropriate academic attire is essential.
Academic Dress Hire aims to ensure that every client has the correct academic regalia in all respects. This includes the correct size, condition and graduating requirements. On rare occasions, clients may not be fully satisfied with the size or condition of their regalia and they may wish to request an exchange of items or a refund.
GST
All hire and courier fees are GST inclusive (at 12.5%).
Exchanges
Where the incorrect graduating requirements have been provided by Academic Dress Hire or the size and condition is less than satisfactory, an exchange of item(s) can be made by contacting us. Our staff will monitor and respond to requests and arrange a replacement to be delivered to the graduating institution for pick up at our designated pickup and drop off location. There is no charge for this service where an error has been made by Academic Dress Hire. If a customer has made a mistake in ordering then any additional courier charges will be charged at the time of pickup. Courier costs will typically be $5 per item.
If for any reason the item(s) to be exchanged are not in the condition they were originally sent, then a replacement hire fee for that item will be charged along with the costs for any repairs.
Refunds
A full refund of the academic regalia is provided if the customer is dissatisfied with the size or condition of their regalia. In order to receive this refund the regalia must be returned prior to the student’s graduating time. Regalia received after the graduation time will not be eligible for a refund.
Refunds will be provided via the customer’s credit card used to hire the regalia. Please note there are no cash or cheque refunds.
